A Rare Day October 2004

A firey sky on a early October dawn patrol. The person in the photo is my brother Shawn. This morning was especially cold, air temp was 32 and water temp was 42.
To bad for my brother that I forgot to bring my hood. But with rare days on the lake such as these, you just have to jump in regardless of your lack of equipment.

The 2nd picture is his first ride. We were so excited when we pulled up to the break and ran to the edge of the bluff. Only to see waist to chest high ground swell. The wind had cranked out of the NW overnight and shut down just before sunrise. An epic day here on the lake.
